Outline

The Polar Cloud was built with schools in mind, so you can easily connect your 3D printers, share them with your students, and quickly complete everyone's print requests in a controlled, organized manner.

  1. Connect the 3D printers
  2. Share the printers with the school
  3. Add students to the school (via import, invite, or Join Code)
  4. Open for business!

The Polar Cloud takes care of the rest. As your teachers become more familiar, they can grow the printing program and its affects by doing any of the following:

  • Promote students to take on more printing responsibility
  • Add other teachers/classes that want to use the 3D printer for a project
  • Assign STEAM 3D Printing Curriculum from STEAMtrax®, Autodesk, and others. Modules are aligned to NGSS & Common Core standards.
  • List student digital designs for SALE! Students can sell designs and receive tips. Your school keeps 100% of the proceeds. Great for replacing filament and other consumables!
  • Give back by accepting job requests from other nearby schools that don't have 3D printers.

It's really all up to you! Having a 3D printer is not the same thing as having a 3D printing Program on the Cloud.
